Reading & Speaking: zdrowie — kolejność zdarzeń i wyrażanie opinii

Po tej lekcji będziesz umieć

Reading & SpeakingOrder eventsExpress opinion
Zaznacz, gdy opanujesz
  • rozpoznać kolejność wydarzeń w tekście,
  • używać first, then, after that, finally,
  • wskazać przyczynę i skutek w krótkiej historii,
  • wyrazić opinię za pomocą I think / In my opinion / I agree,

Słabo: I agree. → Dobrze: I agree because the advice is practical and it can help the person feel better.

Liam: Hi, Emma. You weren't at school yesterday. Are you feeling better now?
Emma: Yes, a bit better, thanks. Yesterday morning, I woke up with a sore throat and a headache.
Liam: Oh no. Did you have a fever too?
Emma: Yes, I did. At first, I thought it was just a cold, so I wanted to go to school anyway. But then I started feeling weak and dizzy.
Liam: So what did you do?
Emma: First, I told my mum. After that, she checked my temperature. It was quite high, so she said I should stay at home and rest.
Liam: That was a good decision.
Emma: I think so too. Next, I drank some warm tea with honey and lemon. I also took some medicine for the fever.
Liam: Did you see a doctor?
Emma: Not immediately. My mum called the doctor's office, and they said I should rest, drink water and come in if I felt worse. Later, I slept for two hours.
Liam: And did you feel better?
Emma: Yes. In the evening, my temperature went down. Finally, today I feel much better, but I'm still a bit tired.
Liam: In my opinion, you made the right choice. If you had gone to school, you could have felt worse or made other people ill.
Emma: I agree. Next time, I won't ignore the symptoms.
