Subjunctive (tryb łączący) to zaawansowana struktura gramatyczna rzadko opisywana w polskich podręcznikach. Pojawia się po suggest/recommend/insist/demand/require i w wyrażeniach it's time/if only/as if.
Po tej lekcji będziesz umieć
- użyć subjunctive po suggest, recommend, insist, demand, require,
- pamiętać, że w subjunctive nie ma -s w 3. osobie,
- używać it is essential / vital / necessary that + base verb,
- budować formal passive subjunctive: be revised, be approved,
- rozróżniać as if / as though real od unreal,
- zastosować wish / would rather / it is time poprawnie,
- przełożyć funkcję formalną na pełne zdanie B2.
Uwaga
Po co formal subjunctive na maturze?
Subjunctive nie polega na "dziwnym czasie" — to formalny sposób wyrażania zalecenia, wymagania albo konieczności. Po czasownikach typu suggest, recommend, insist, demand używasz formy podstawowej czasownika bez -s, bez to i bez normalnej odmiany przez osoby.
Zwykłe zdanie: She insists that he attends the meeting. ❌ Formal subjunctive: She insists that he attend the meeting. ✅ BrE also accepted: She insists that he should attend the meeting. ✅

Tip: Po as if / as though uzywasz formy przeszlej, gdy pokazujesz dystans, nirealnosc albo watpliwosc. Prezent = sytuacja mozliwa.
Wish / would rather / it is time
Wazne: Te konstrukcje uzywaja form przeszlych, ale czesto mowia o terazniejszosci lub przyszlosci. To formalny dystans, nie czas przeszly.
