Mia: Hi, Kuba. Did you have a good weekend?
Kuba: Yes, I did. We celebrated my grandmother's birthday on Sunday. The whole family came to her house.
Mia: That sounds nice. Who was there?
Kuba: My parents, my sister, my cousins, my aunt and uncle, and of course my grandparents. Some relatives came from another city too.
Mia: Do you get on well with your cousins?
Kuba: Yes, especially with my cousin Adam. We are very close because we have similar interests. We both like football and computer games. I also take after him a little because we are both quite calm and patient.
Mia: What did you do during the celebration?
Kuba: First, we had a big family dinner. My aunt made a traditional cake, and my mum decorated the room with flowers and photos. Then we gave my grandmother presents and sang Happy Birthday.
Mia: How did your grandmother feel?
Kuba: She was really happy and a bit emotional. She said she felt grateful because everyone spent time together. I felt proud too, because my sister and I helped prepare the food.
Mia: Do you have this kind of celebration every year?
Kuba: Yes, it's our family tradition. We always meet for birthdays and anniversary celebrations. I think it is important because it brings the family together.
Mia: I agree. I'm close to my grandparents too. They often look after me when my parents are busy.
Kuba: That's great. In my opinion, family traditions are special because they help people feel connected.
